GOING TO SCHOOL

You are talking to your French friend about school

• Say how you get to school
• Say how long it takes
• Say what time you leave home
• Ask your friend what time school finishes

Your teacher will play the part of your friend and will speak first.

TO HELP YOU

a) Choose an easy item of transport

b) Make sure you say ‘minutes’ in a French accent

c) Pick an easy time. Take care with the pronunciation of the word for ‘hours’.

d) If you want to use the ‘…and you?’ construction, you will have to say ‘I finish’ not ‘school finishes…’
