• Say you would like to go to town
• Say what you want to buy
• Say who it is for
• Ask how much a stamp costs

Your teacher will play the part of your friend and will speak first.

TO HELP YOU

a) Take care to pronounce the L in the French word for ‘town’

b) Pick something simple, which you can pronounce well

c) Don’t use a name. ‘Brother / sister / parents’ is better.

d) Say ‘a stamp, how much is it?’ This avoids some of the possible problems of the question
